Finally back home from Kem Putra Sentosa. Was there for 6 weeks.1st time away from home for so long.I must say it was a really challenging yet good experience for me cause it was really the first time I finally realized the 2 most important thing in my life--God and family.I really want to thank God for being with me through the whole process especially when I'm feeling extremely down due to missing my family too much.It was also my first time doing quiet time every morn at 5 something when normally at home I'll do my quiet time before I go to bed. After going ns I felt so loved as almost every week my parent or relatives would drive all the way to Sematan for 2 hours just to chit chat with me and spend time with me.They would bring sweets and stuffs I need every time they visit. The thing that touched me most was when my dad came all the way from Bintulu (day trip) just to see me during my 1st Saturday there. He took a bus from Bintulu to Kuching then drove all the way to Sematan just to spend 3+hours with me and made another trip back to Bintulu and go back to work.It really made me feel so loved and that all this while I've took so many things for granted.
The other thing I've learned was confidence.I must admit those classes we joined made me feel more confident in myself while talking in front of other people especially during perkongsian terbuka and perbentangan.
I must say not being able to understand bahasa sarawak was a total minus point.People laugh at me for being a sarawakian yet don't understand bahasa sarawak.I remembered saying "huh" so many times till my friend gave up and said "sakit tekak saya cakap dengan awak". :P And the other thing was I studied mandarin till primary 6 while majority of my other chinese friends took chinese during SPM (including one of my indian friend). So they start calling me "banana" (yellow outside, white inside),another minus point.
One of the best experience in camp was water confidence, kayaking and rakit-ing.It was really fun as we get to swim in the super salty pond using buoyancy aids.Next was shouting and supporting for your kompeni during matches till you get sore throat. When we didn't do that,Cg Wahid would punish us and we'd have to do star jump and push ups.Next,shooting.Even though I've used the M16 before, but being given the chance to shoot again was really fun.Superb.

Next, gathering around a small tv watching football, news and phua chu kang. The feeling was really different as normally at home I can have the whole big tv in front of me whereas in camp we have to squeeze in between people (sometimes with bad BO :P) to watch a the tv.
I guess that's all for this post. Will update more soon. :)
